Barbara is an ordained minister who has focused her ministry on children and youth for over twenty years. Her work with at-risk youth began when she taught and counseled at Teen Challenge Wyoming. She then continued her work at My Guardian Angel where children had traumatic experiences with death, divorce, and abandonment.

After her social work, Barbara moved into full time mission work. She led ESL teaching teams throughout Asia, from Hong Kong to Kyrgyzstan, until she finally settled in East Dallas. Here she worked with the youth at Youth With a Mission Dallas.

Currently, Barbara focuses her energies on preventing sex trafficking and is a member of the Dallas Community High Risk Victims Task Force and the North Texas Coalition Against Trafficking among others.

Richard A. Page, M.D. is Board Certified in Allergy/Clinical Immunology and Pediatrics. He received his Bachelor of Arts with honors from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland and his M.D. from the St. Louis University School of Medicine. He went on to complete his internship and residency at the Children Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Following his education and training, he then accepted a fellowship at the Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

His professional practice includes over 25 years of experience in allergy treatment, and he has owned the Family Allergy Clinic since 1998.

Richard and his wife, Rebecca, currently have two daughters and live in Plano, Texas. Richard and Barbara met many years ago at Sojourn Church in Carrollton, Texas, where he and his wife supported Barbara for many years as a missionary. Their support continues as God transitions Barbara into a providing a place of healing for sex trafficking victims.

Betty Spillman, Board Member

Barbara Rodriguez

Dr. Betty Spillman is an experienced international educator, businesswoman, speaker, and writer.  She earned her Ph.D. in Education from the University of Northern Colorado and went onto teach undergraduate and graduate courses at the University of Denver, Colorado; Wichita State University, Kansas; and Cardinal Stritch College, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She also has vast experience in teaching all grade levels and has been involved in national educational consulting since 1970.

In 1990, Dr. Spillman launched My Guardian Angel, Volunteers for Children of Divorce and Loss, Inc., a private non-profit serving children ages 4 to 17 who had experienced tragic losses due to death, divorce, separation, and/or abandonment. She later helped Dallas Can Academy establish their alternative academy for dropout students while serving as their founding Superintendent and Executive Vice President.

Dr. Spillman now does business coaching for private not-for-profit organizations such as DBS Resources: Strategic Designs for Building Success; Beauty for Ashes, Grief Recovery Institute; and Refuge City.

David Lo, Board Member

David was born in Taipei, Taiwan. He came to the USA at the start of age 9. David grew up in Maryland, New Jersey, and Ohio. He received his MBA from UD, Texas and his BBA from Stephen F. Austin State University.

David has worked as an Independent Registered Investment Adviser. He also has a broad knowledge of financial planning and insurance strategies, licensed for 18 years, 25 years working with small business owners and families. He currently is the Founder of 501c(3) Non-Profit, Lily of the Valley Community Outreach in Dallas, Texas.

David was married 20 + years until the Lord took her home in 2013 from colon/ liver cancer. They have 3 children and currently reside in Allen, Texas.

His non-profit goal is to help the needy and the poor, and those disadvantaged in the community.  Not limited to feeding the homeless, but also help with job assistance, transportation, counseling, prison visitation, conduct community services meetings, car ownership program; all done in the name of Jesus Christ.

Michael T. Hale, Board Member

Mike is an Agent licensed to sell insurance through New York Life Insurance Company and may be licensed with various other independent unaffiliated insurance companies in the states of Texas and Arkansas.

Mike has been involved with serving and discipling youth for the past 20 years. He is passionate about seeing the power of the Holy Spirit released in lives to accomplish the will of Almighty God. He has been teaching them that it is the power of the Cross that brings healing and restoration to broken lives. He has been involved in leading teams both in corporations and non-profits for over 15 years.
